Land records
In one line
The plot number in the village revenue map.
A khasra number identifies a single parcel of land within a village. It appears on the jamabandi, on the tatima and on the shajra, and it is how a plot is referred to in every official document. When land is partitioned, the parent khasra gains suffixes — 412 becomes 412/1, 412/2 and so on.
