Parking is counted in Equivalent Car Spaces. These rules fix how many you need, how big each is, and what the ramp that reaches them may do.

Rule 26(4)(viii)(a) — and 7 related rules below.
Open parking is counted at 23 m² per equivalent car space.
| Parking | 23 m² per equivalent car space (open) |
Covered parking at ground floor is counted at 28 m² per equivalent car space.
| Parking | 28 m² per equivalent car space (ground, covered) |
Parking in a basement, podium or multilevel floor is counted at 32 m² per equivalent car space — the least efficient of the three, because ramps and circulation come out of the same area.
| Parking | 32 m² per equivalent car space (basement/podium) |
A minimum of 10% of the total required parking shall be surface parking at ground level.
Up to 20% of the total required parking may be mechanical, except in residential buildings. It must be fully automatic, so that cars below need not be moved by hand to release the ones stacked above, and it must be covered.
Parking provided under stilts, a podium or a basement is not counted towards Floor Area Ratio, and not counted towards height when calculating the setback for light and ventilation.
In mercantile, industrial (except IT industry) and storage buildings, a space of 3.5 m × 7.5 m for loading and unloading is required for every 1,000 m² of floor area or part of it, in addition to the parking.
Parking may be put in a separate multi-level block covering up to 20% of the plot area, and that area is not counted towards Floor Area Ratio.
