The approach decides more than convenience. Below a certain width it caps the building height; with no motorable road at all, a parking floor cannot be built.
What road do I need to reach the plot?
Access ≥5.00 m (population ≤1000) / ≥6.00 m (>1000). Low-rise low-density isolated group housing may use 3.00 m with overall FAR ≤1.0 and building height 10 m. If the abutting approach road is 3 m wide, the applicant shall surrender 2 m of land along its complete length to achieve the 5 m minimum.

Site access from the abutting public road
verbatim
The scheme must take its access from the public road abutting the site: gate on the road-facing boundary, internal 5 m road connecting the gate to every block (also the fire-tender route).

Height capped by abutting path
verbatim
Path <3.00 m → 10 m; 3.00–<5.00 m → 13 m; a ≥5.00 m road imposes no path-based height cap (height then governed by the general limit).

Worked example — a 500 m² plot on a 9 m road
Computed live by the same engine that produces the drawings — not a stored example.
Drawn square for clarity. A real tatima is not square — that is what the tracer is for.
